Under the supervision of the Director of Emergency Medical Services, and the Direct Supervision of the Emergency Department Attending Physicians; the Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is a licensed professional through the State of Missouri with advanced training in the primary care of adult and pediatric populations. She/He is responsible for providing primary care to Emergency Department patients who meet criteria set by the department. Functions under the medical supervision of the Emergency Department Attending Physician and as directed by clinical protocols.
