        <p><i>$15,000 in Scholarships Available to Nursing &amp; Allied Health Students</i>
</p>
<p>
 Allied Health Students are now eligible to apply for the <a href="http://www.campusrn.com/network/scholarship_program" title="Nursing Scholarships">Nursing Scholarships</a>. Launched in 2008, the scholarship program was previously open to only nursing students, but has now expanded to include those pursueing a career as allied health professionals as well.
</p>
<p>
&#8220;Due to the tremendous success of the 2009 CampusRN Scholarship Program, we are pleased to continue to the scholarship program in 2010. With the shortages of healthcare professionals in all areas of expertise, we felt it important to expand the program to include allied health students in addition to nursing students.&#8221; says CEO &amp; Founder, Matt Casey.
</p>
<p>
The scholarship program is the most comprehensive of its kind for students pursuing a career in healthcare. Six $2500 scholarships will are awarded annually to need and deserving students from regions across the country.

This position will be considered authorized to have direct access to drug products and secure medication locations in order to manage the storage, handling and disposal of medications as outlines in the job brief. MINIMUM EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE: High school graduate with a minimum of one year of previous health care setting or emergency medical care experience required. NH certification and registration as a Nursing Assistant required. CPR certification within 1 month of employment required. Excellent interpersonal skills desired. Must be capable of completing a high volume of requests quickly and efficiently in multiple roles. Prior knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Full time 36-39 hours 7am-7pm, 11am-11pm, 7pm-7am Day RN Required The Intermediate Special Care Unit is an eight bed unit for those patients with care needs which fall between Med/Surg and Critical Care. The patient population are those with short term, acute care needs, and who are most dramatically impacted by nursing excellence. This is a full time, fully benefitted position. The shifts are twelve hours, 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7 am, with Day/Night rotation and an occasional swing shift 11 am to 11 pm. Every other weekend and on call approximately once a month is required. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, a minimum of 3 years of Medical/Surgical or Critical Care experience in an acute care hospital, and current NH registered nurse licensure required.

This position is responsible for all research nurse activities as they relate to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Transfusion Medicine / Hemostasis Clinical Trial Network (TMH CTN). Comply with all regulatory agencies and requirements set forth in the TMH CTN and the study-specific manual of procedures (MOP). The TMH studies will be conducted at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, UPMC Presby/Montefiore Hospital and UPMC Children&#8217;s Hospital of Pittsburgh. As new studies emerge within the TMH CTN, this position will transition to those studies. Current Pennsylvania State Nursing license is required. Certification of Research Integrity and Human Subjects training within the last 3 years. 2+ years of healthcare experience is required. Experience with grants or participation in clinical studies in a heath care environment is preferred. Familiarity with computers and data entry for reporting statistical requirements. Venipuncture experience is preferred. Candidate must have good oral communication and customer interaction skills. Must also demonstrate deductive clinical reasoning in determination of subject eligibility criteria.
